Thank you for sharing, Aimee! I think most of us are no stranger to that feeling of being left behind, and to the worries of having failed to adapt to adulthood. It’s just a matter of whether or not we verbalize those feelings out loud.

It’s never too late to start over again (and again…and again). Here’s to a fresh start, even if it’s not exactly what you thought it would look like.

I feel like I’m currently somewhere in your 2011 phase. I divorced 20 years ago and didn’t remarry – sometimes it feels like before my daughter arrived (she’s now a year old) I had been floating around. Nothing changed or evolved, even though my friends seemed to be evolving. I remember feeling left behind and confused, like I had failed to adapt to adulthood. This year is the year I start over again (again). Because of the pandemic/economy I’m now a full-time mom and part-time designer. Seriously, never thought I’d be able to say that. Life is strange, but here we are!
